First Colony is a 510 home, wooded subdivision located on the James River. It features marina facilities available to current, paid members of the Greater First Colony Area Civic Association. The marina offers boat slips, boat parking, boat launching, fishing, a gazebo, and a sand beach. The marina was dredged in 2003, and has been completely refurbished in 2004. Homes vary in style and size, homes on interior lots are currently being market from the mid $300's, while riverfront properties are in the multi-million dollar range.
Queens Lake: Queens Lake is a beautiful community connected to downtown Williamsburg, by a five minute scenic drive on the Colonial Parkway. Kingspoint a waterfront community of 220 homes located on College Creek. The neighborhood has a pool and a clubhouse.
Powhatan Shores is a small subdivision of 112 lots featuring a boat launch, picnic area, playground and park. Some properties back to the navigable Powhatan Creek, which leads to the James River, and have private docks.
